A warm welcome to Montrose Sailing Club.
We generally sail at the weekends every fortnight and this is due to fitting in the with the high tide on the basin at sociable hours, so the times vary for weekend to weekend. Our sailing calendar is on our website at https://montrosesailingclub.co.uk/events/list/, which provide information to start times.
We also use whats app to communicate with our members; find out who’s planning on coming down, idea of which club boats are wanted and a general update on the weather conditions for sailing. If your interested in joining the group then let any of the committee members know and we can get you added.
We have a selection of club boats available to members to use, both single and double handers and for all levels of sailing ability. We also have trained instructors to assist where required with first steps to improving techniques (Rory, Craig and John). We don’t have any fixed agenda at the weekends, whether it’s racing, free sailing, or training and it’s generally decided before hand based on numbers and general consensus of member who turn up, however happy to hear your wishes and we will accommodate these into our weekends.
